Diagnostic Technician / Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Role with a Level 3 qualification, for one of the UK's leading dealer groups. Great salary, benefits, overtime and bonus opportunities.
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and hold a full UK driving licence.
Location: Bedford
Pay / salary: Up to £44,958 basic per annum, OTE up to £50,958 per annum, based on time saved, team profit and CSI bonus
Job type: Permanent / full-time role
Shift and schedule: 45 hours per week, including weekends on a rota basis

You would be joining one of the UK's leading automotive retail groups, representing more than 25 leading car, van, truck and motorbike brands across over 130 stores in England. Skills and experience
- Minimum Level 3 qualification, or equivalent, in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Recognised Diagnostic qualification, with strong diagnostic capability and confidence using diagnostic tools and software.
- Previous experience as a Diagnostic Technician or Mechanic is ideal, although brand-qualified Technicians will also be considered.
- Strong teamwork skills, a process-driven approach, and a commitment to high standards of safety, quality, and customer care.
Job responsibilities for the Diagnostic Technician role
- Carry out complex diagnostic, warranty, and repair work in line with manufacturer standards.
- Use diagnostic tools and software to identify, investigate, and resolve hard-to-find vehicle faults.
- Complete EV work, where qualified, and carry out hydraulic repairs safely and efficiently.
- Support accurate digital write-ups, job card completion, and clear recording of technical findings and parts requirements.
- Assist Apprentice Technicians with development where required, supporting a high-performing workshop team.
- Maintain high standards of safety, quality, first-time fix performance, and customer satisfaction.
