Vehicle Technician Opportunity – Vertu Jaguar Land Rover Taunton

At Vertu Jaguar Land Rover Taunton, we are recruiting a skilled Vehicle Technician to support customers across the Jaguar and Land Rover ranges.

Competitive Technician Salary Packages
We offer competitive salary packages aligned to the specific dealership, role level, skills, qualifications and manufacturer accreditation. The salary ranges available across our Jaguar Land Rover Technician opportunities are outlined below:
- Prep Technician: up to £35,720
- Service and Maintenance Technician: up to £36,950
- Service and Diagnostic Technician: up to £39,410
MOT Tester status is advantageous but not essential, this may provide an uplift within the salary ranges outlined above.
Ongoing Manufacturer Training
You will have access to manufacturer-specific training, including dedicated EV and electrical training, supporting you to remain at the forefront of technical developments within the automotive sector.
If you hold a nationally recognised Level 3 Light Vehicle qualification, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, your experience and qualifications will be reviewed by JLR during onboarding. Following this review, JLR will provide an accreditation pathway to support you towards Level 2 qualified status. If you hold Master Technician certification, JLR will also review your experience and support you through the relevant accreditation pathway towards JLR Level 4 qualified status.

What You’ll Be Doing
As a Jaguar Land Rover Vehicle Technician, you will play a key role in protecting the ownership experience for customers who expect precision, reliability and attention to detail from premium British automotive brands. Whether you are working on servicing, diagnostics, complex repairs or MOT-related work, you will help deliver first-time fixes and quality workmanship across vehicles built around performance, capability, modern luxury and advanced technology.
- Carrying out maintenance and repairs with precision, care and attention to detail.
- Diagnosing, repairing and servicing vehicles to the highest standards.
- Applying your technical expertise to routine, diagnostic and complex repairs.
- Taking pride in delivering quality results and building customer trust.
What You Will Need
- A relevant formal qualification, such as City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 in Automotive, or equivalent.
- Current hands-on experience as a Vehicle Technician, ideally within a main dealership environment.
- Your own set of tools.
- A full UK driving licence.
