Vehicle Technician / Mechanic Solihull

Looking for a Vehicle Technician role offering up to £36,000 basic, realistic earnings up to £45,000 and strong technical progression?

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, Automotive Technician or Service Technician in Solihull. Applicants must hold either a Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or a Level 2 qualification with at least 3 years relevant workshop experience, plus a Full UK Driving Licence and the right to work in the UK.

Location: Solihull
Salary: Up to £36,000 Basic + Bonus + Overtime
OTE: Up to £45,000 depending on experience and site performance
Hours: Monday to Friday, plus Saturday rota and approved overtime
Job Type: Permanent, Full Time

Vehicle Technician Role

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections and repairs
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults
  • Use diagnostic equipment to identify repair requirements
  • Replace components, lubricants and consumables as required
  • Complete electronic vehicle health checks
  • Record servicing and repair work accurately
  • Work closely with Service Advisors and Workshop Controllers to maintain an efficient workflow

Vehicle Technician Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, City & Guilds or equivalent, or
  • Level 2 qualification with at least 3 years relevant workshop experience
  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, Automotive Technician, Service Technician or Diagnostic Technician
  • Strong servicing, maintenance and repair skills
  • Good diagnostic and fault-finding ability
  • Own tools suitable for day-to-day workshop duties
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Right to work in the UK
