Vehicle Technician / Mechanic
Vehicle Technician / Mechanic role with a Level 3 qualification, or Level 2 Technician / Mechanic with 3 years experience, for a busy main dealer service department in Bury St. Edmunds.
Must have the right to work in the UK and a full UK driving licence.

Pay / Salary
Up to £42,000 basic + bonus 48k+ OTE, depending on experience and qualifications
Job Type
Permanent / full-time role
Shift and Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:30pm
- 30-minute lunch break
- No weekend working as standard

Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician, Diagnostic Technician, MOT Tester or Preparation Technician within a dealership, service centre or similar workshop environment.
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or an equivalent automotive qualification, is preferred.
Job Responsibilities for the Vehicle Technician role
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and technical faults across a range of vehicles.
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, inspections and general repair work to manufacturer standards.
- Use diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify faults accurately and complete repairs efficiently.
- Complete video vehicle health checks and provide clear notes on work completed or further recommendations.
- Record all work accurately on job cards and internal systems.
- Work closely with service advisors, workshop controllers and other technicians to deliver a smooth customer experience.
- Keep the workshop area clean, organised and compliant with health and safety standards.
