As a Field Evaluation Unit (FEU) Vehicle Technician, you'll be part of an innovative team within the Industrial Operations Programme Delivery organisation, where cutting-edge technology meets real-world application. This is your chance to work on pre-production vehicles, ensuring they meet the highest standards before hitting the road.
What You Will Do
- Complete inspection and preparation tasks for prototype vehicles, ensuring they are ready for user evaluation.
- Perform electrical and mechanical rectifications, maintenance, and updates on pre-production vehicles.
- Investigate root causes of issues raised during evaluations, collaborating with engineering and launch teams.
- Accurately identify and describe build and quality issues during inspections and assessments.
- Diagnose faults, trace issues, and validate resolutions using your expertise in vehicle systems and diagnostics.
- Follow detailed working instructions and adhere to workshop safety procedures at all times.

What You Will Bring
- A recognised Level 3 qualification or apprenticeship in Automotive Electrical or Mechanical disciplines.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle assembly, servicing, and maintenance.
- Experience in interpreting harness drawings and working with PHEV/MHEV/BEV systems.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, including computer-based equipment and electrical systems.
- A customer-focused approach, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
As a FEU Vehicle Technician, you'll contribute to the company's mission of delivering vehicles on time, within budget, and to the highest specifications. Your role will be crucial in ensuring the readiness and reliability of pre-production vehicles, supporting the launch process and enhancing customer satisfaction.
