The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a highly successful family owned automotive retailer operating from a modern, well-equipped workshop.

This role offers excellent career progression, ongoing technical training, and the opportunity to work alongside a supportive and professional aftersales team. The successful candidate will join a business that is committed to investing in its people and providing clear pathways for long-term career development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard
  • Diagnosing vehicle faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
  • Completing vehicle health checks and identifying additional repair requirements
  • Performing MOT tests (where qualified)
  • Ensuring all work is completed efficiently and within agreed timescales
  • Maintaining accurate workshop records and job documentation
  • Identifying opportunities for additional work and advising the service team accordingly
  • Working collaboratively with technicians, service advisors and management
  • Following all health and safety procedures and manufacturer standards

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Service Technician or Motor Vehicle Mechanic
  • Relevant automotive qualifications (Level 2 or Level 3 preferred)
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • MOT Tester qualification advantageous but not essential
