Vehicle Technician Apprentice - Level 3

Starting Salary: £22,000 + Benefits

Brewery Road, London

Duration: 3.5 years

We are excited to offer an opportunity to join our team as a Vehicle Technician Apprentice, working on the iconic London black cabs — including our latest model of new energy vehicle. This is a unique chance to be part of a brand with a rich heritage and a forward-looking approach to sustainable mobility. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working towards a nationally recognised Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.

About the role

⚡ Qualification: Light Vehicle Level 3 Apprenticeship

⚡ Course Structure:

  • 24 months - Autocare Level 2
  • 16 months - Light Vehicle Level 3

⚡ Duration: 3.5 years

⚡ Starting Salary: £22,000 per annum, with staged increases upon successful completion of each year

About the Apprenticeship

Delivered by Inspiro Learning, one of the UK’s leading training providers, this programme blends practical experience with structured learning. Apprentices will attend training blocks at Inspiro’s training centre in Derby, with pre- and post-learning completed either at home or in the workplace.

Key learning areas

  • Engine, Hybrid and electric vehicle systems
  • Wheels & Tyre, Air conditioning principles
  • Engine diagnostics, turbochargers, and emissions technology
  • CAN Bus and network systems
  • Advanced chassis systems, steering, suspension, and braking (ABS/ESP/4WD)

What We’re Looking For

⚡ A minimum age of 16

⚡ GCSE English and Maths at a Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)

⚡ A genuine interest in automotive technology

⚡ Strong attention to detail and a willingness to learn
