Job Title: Vehicle Technician – Premium Brand Dealership
Location: Sunderland SR5
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: £34,000-£36000 basic plus £3,000 Productivity Bonus and uncapped Time Saved Bonus Scheme (dependent on level)-OTE £42000-£45000
Flexible Hours Available
Working Hours:
- 40 hours Monday-Friday (08:30-17:00), plus 1 in 3 Saturdays (08:30-12:30)
- Fixed 4-day working week (Mon-Thu or Tue-Fri, 42 hours)
Overview
We are recruiting for a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our fantastic workshop. Working alongside experienced technicians, you will play a vital role in carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology, conducting vehicle services, and completing any additional repairs.

Reporting to the Aftersales Management team, you will receive ongoing support and access to excellent career progression opportunities, including manufacturer-accredited programs and Hybrid & Electric Vehicle training.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out vehicle health checks using the latest technology
- Conducting vehicle servicing in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
- Carrying out any additional repairs once authorized by the customer
- Completing warranty repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines and ensuring all relevant documentation is completed accurately
- Road testing customer vehicles to ensure faults have been rectified
- Completing all relevant paperwork to a high standard

About You
The ideal candidate will have NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (or equivalent), motor industry experience, and a full and valid UK driving licence.
You will be self-motivated, supportive of your team, ambitious, eager to learn, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of workmanship.
Previous manufacturer experience is desirable but not essential, as full accreditation training will be provided. Diagnostic, MOT, and EV experience would also be advantageous but is not essential.
