Level 3 Vehicle Technician

Location: Croydon, London
Salary: Up to £41,000 per annum
Job Type: Permanent

The Opportunity

We're currently recruiting for an experienced Level 3 Vehicle Technician to join a growing engineering and maintenance team based in Croydon, South London.

This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified Vehicle Technician who enjoys fault finding, diagnostics and keeping vehicles and equipment operating to a high standard.

You'll be working as part of a skilled engineering team, carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs while ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable and ready for operation.

The Role

As a Level 3 Vehicle Technician, your responsibilities will include:

  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a range of vehicles.
  • Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults and carrying out effective repairs.
  • Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults and issues.
  • Completing preventative maintenance and inspections.
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Maintaining accurate records of work completed.
  • Working closely with colleagues and management to minimise vehicle downtime.
  • Following company health & safety procedures and maintaining a clean and organised working environment.

About You

We're looking for someone with:

  • Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance / Motor Vehicle Technology or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
  • Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills.
  • Experience carrying out servicing, repairs and preventative maintenance.
  • A good understanding of vehicle systems and fault finding.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
  • A full UK driving licence is advantageous.
  • Experience with HGVs, commercial vehicles, plant or heavy-duty equipment would also be beneficial.
