Vehicle Technician / Engine Builder / Rebuilder (Classic Cars)
Location: Kenilworth
Salary: Up to £35,000 basic per annum DOE, plus overtime OTE 40k
Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday 8.30-5
Reference: 31081
My client is recruiting for this exciting and different position, looking for an experienced Engine Builder / Vehicle Technician to join their team in the Kenilworth area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a fantastic company that offers a supportive environment and great career prospects. The ideal candidate will probably be a skilled automotive engineer with considerable practical experience and a particular interest in classic and vintage vehicles.

- Minimum of 1 year experience in a workshop environment
- A knowledge of traditional petrol engines, in particular carburettor fuel systems and distributor type ignition systems.
- A first-class knowledge of fault finding on traditional vehicles.
- A good knowledge of engine building.
- A general knowledge of traditional electrical, transmission, braking and suspension systems.
- An ability to solve technical problems with good engineering practice.
- An ability to work effectively within a team of four skilled technicians.
- Engine rebuilding is a must.
- Self-motivated to minimize idle time and keep jobs within estimate.
- A commitment to the highest quality and putting customer satisfaction above all else.
- Strong mechanical skills.
- A steady and reliable work history.
- Minimum Level 2 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent).
- You must also own a well-stocked toolbox.
