Vehicle Technician/Mechanic – Sheffield (Market-Leading Role)

We are currently looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician/Mechanic to join our new team in Sheffield, offering a market-leading salary and bonus scheme.

About You

As a skilled Vehicle Technician/Mechanic, your role will involve diagnosing and repairing both minor and major mechanical faults (including engine repairs), ensuring vehicles meet manufacturer specifications and standards.

We welcome applications from candidates with:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) technical qualifications
  • Experience working in a franchisised dealer or independent garage
  • Knowledge of used car preparation

Key Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults, ranging from routine services to complete engine rebuilds
  • Return vehicles to manufacturer specifications, ensuring flawless resale quality
  • Work within fluctuating workloads to meet production targets
  • Follow health & safety, and high-voltage safety (if applicable), protocol
  • Maintain high standards of customer service with clients and colleagues
  • Keep up to date with current vehicle technology through manufacturer training

Proficiency Requirements

You will need:

Technical Competencies

  • At least NVQ Level 3 (or higher equivalent) qualification in автомобильный обслуживание и ремонт
  • MOT Tester status preferred (but not mandatory)
  • Practical experience in used car preparation
  • Licensed use of mobile electronic diagnostics tools
  • Hands-on knowledge of hybrid/electric vehicle systems (desirable but not essential)

  • Strong confidence in operating workshop equipment and tools safely
  • Attention to detail to preserve vehicle quality
  • Team player mindset in a collaborative workshop environment

Additional

  • Full UK drivers’ licence is required
  • Ability to provide own tools and any specialist equipment as needed
