Vehicle Technician

Location: Kentish Town, London

Salary: £45,675 Basic | OTE £60,000+

Working Hours: 39.5 Hours per Week | Three-Week Rotating Shift Pattern | 1 in 3 Saturdays

We are recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join one of the UK's largest commercial fleets based in North London. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation offering long-term job security, outstanding training and excellent earning potential. Working in a modern workshop, you'll maintain a diverse fleet of light and heavy commercial vehicles, including electric vehicles, using the latest tooling and equipment.

Vehicle Technician Company Benefits

  • OTE up to £60,000 with overtime.
  • Late shift allowance of £90.21 per week.
  • Saturday supplement of £53.66 per shift.
  • Sunday supplement of £107.33 per shift (where applicable).
  • £1,500 welcome bonus (subject to terms).

Vehicle Technician Role

  • Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on a fleet of light and heavy commercial vehicles.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
  • Complete vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance.
  • Repair trailers and associated mechanical equipment.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely and to the highest standards.
  • Use specialist workshop equipment and tooling.
  • Work effectively within a busy workshop team whilst maintaining accurate job records.

Vehicle Technician Requirements

  • Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair, Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair or equivalent.
  • Previous experience working as an HGV Technician, LCV Technician or Commercial Vehicle Technician.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
  • Own tools required.
  • HGV licence and trailer experience desirable but not essential.
  • Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
  • Flexible to work a rotating shift pattern.
