Contract
Full-time, permanent
Salary
- OTE up to £44,320 (uncapped)
- Basic salary: £37,000 (varies based on qualifications)
- Additional earnings through £3,000 Productivity Bonus and Time Saved Bonus Scheme
Hours
- Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 hours)
- Saturdays: 1 in 3 weekends (8:30 AM – 12:30 PM)
About the Role
Buckinghamshire Land Rover is recruiting a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join their fantastic workshop. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians conducting:
- Vehicle health checks using the latest technology
- Vehicle servicing and repair services
- Additional tasks as needed
You’ll report to the Aftersales Manager, who will provide ongoing support, ensuring you have everything you need to succeed. We also offer opportunities for progression, including:

Our Vehicle Technicians / Mechanics are the backbone of our Service team, delivering exceptional customer service. If you’re a qualified Vehicle Technician or an experienced Mechanic—whether from a dealer group or independent garage—we’d love to hear from you!

Responsibilities
- Carrying out pre-delivery inspections on new and used vehicles
- Conducting manufacturer’s guideline checks
- Installing additional accessories requested by customers
- Performing vehicle health checks and identifying further required work
- Assessing lights, tyre pressure, mechanical, and electrical components
- Completing minor repairs on new and used vehicles
- Conducting basic mechanical and electrical diagnostics
- Executing vehicle services according to manufacturer guidelines and customer requests
- Authorised repairs upon customer approval
- Performing warranty repairs as per manufacturer standards, with paperwork properly completed
- Road testing vehicles to ensure fault rectification
- Maintaining high-quality documentation
Requirements
We seek candidates with:
- Minimum qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, or equivalent
- Experience: Motor industry experience (either brand-specific or general)
- Licence: Full and valid UK driving licence
- Attributes: Self-motivated, collaborative team player, ambitious, and driven to uphold the highest standards
While previous brand-specific experience is desirable, it is not mandatory. Particularly, training will be provided to achieve brand accreditation.
Desirable (not essential) but a bonus if you have:
- Diagnostic experience
- MOT certification
- EV experience
