MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician

Bristol

£32,000 – £44,000 basic salary (DOE)

Monday to Friday (earlier finish on Fridays)

The Role

An established independent garage in Bristol is looking for a skilled MOT Tester / Vehicle Technician to join their friendly and professional team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-equipped workshop with a strong local reputation for quality and customer care.

You’ll be responsible for carrying out MOT tests (Class 4 & 7 preferred), servicing, diagnostics, and general repair work on a wide range of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct MOT tests in line with DVSA standards
  • Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs
  • Diagnose faults efficiently using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard
  • Maintain accurate records and comply with workshop processes

Requirements

  • Valid MOT Tester licence (preferred but not essential for the right Technician)
  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • Strong diagnostic and mechanical skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • A positive, team-focused attitude
