Location: Rugby, Warwickshire
Salary: Up to £39,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday + 1 in 3 Saturdays
Job Type: Permanent
Our client is a busy and established vehicle dealership in Rugby and is looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Motor Vehicle Technician / Vehicle Mechanic to join their growing workshop team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled technician looking to join a professional dealership with a steady workload, modern facilities, and opportunities for long-term progression.
The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of vehicles to a high standard.
Your duties will include:
- Carrying out routine vehicle servicing and maintenance
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Carrying out MOT preparation and general vehicle inspections
- Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults
- Completing repairs efficiently and accurately
- Carrying out brake, clutch, suspension, steering, and exhaust repairs
- Maintaining accurate records of work completed
- Ensuring all work is completed in line with manufacturer and dealership standards
- Working as part of a busy and professional workshop team
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment

About You
The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Automotive Technician, Car Mechanic, or Service Technician, ideally within a main dealership, independent garage, or automotive workshop.
You should have:
- Previous experience in a vehicle technician / mechanic role
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience servicing and repairing passenger vehicles
- Knowledge of vehicle diagnostics
- Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A full UK driving licence
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds Level 3, or equivalent automotive qualification would be advantageous.
