Are you an experienced Vehicle Technician looking to join a well-established national van hire company with excellent career prospects and earning potential?
We are recruiting for a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop in Huntingdon. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for one of the UK's leading commercial vehicle rental providers, offering ongoing training, modern workshop facilities, and genuine opportunities for career progression.
The Role
As a Vehicle Technician, you'll be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of light commercial vehicles, ensuring they are safe, roadworthy, and ready for customers.
Your Duties
- Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a range of light commercial vehicles.
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Completing MOT preparation and inspections.
- Performing vehicle health checks and identifying additional work where required.
- Ensuring all work is completed to manufacturer and company standards.
- Maintaining accurate job records and completing all relevant paperwork.
- Working efficiently to meet workshop targets while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Requirements
To be successful in this Vehicle Technician role, you will ideally have:
- Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Previous experience as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic or Service Technician.
- Experience working on vans or light commercial vehicles is desirable but not essential.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- A full UK driving licence.
- A positive attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
