Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 per year, depending on experience
Location: Ryebridge Autos, Unit 124 Provost Way, Luton, LU2 9PB
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm
Weekends: No weekends

The Role

As a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality vehicle inspections, servicing, repairs and maintenance while ensuring all work is completed efficiently and to manufacturer and company standards.

You’ll play an important role in ensuring our customers receive a professional, reliable and honest service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out vehicle inspections, servicing, repairs and maintenance in accordance with manufacturer and company standards
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using modern diagnostic equipment
  • Identify complex vehicle issues and provide accurate and effective solutions
  • Complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard
  • Communicate any additional faults or work identified to the Service Department promptly
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure vehicles are completed within agreed timescales
  • Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
  • Keep up to date with the latest vehicle technology, diagnostic equipment and industry developments
  • Follow all company health and safety procedures and regulations
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with excellent attention to detail

About You

We’re looking for someone who is multi skilled, reliable and takes pride in their work.

You’ll ideally have:

  • Level 3 qualification, NVQ or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of vehicle systems and components
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Good communication skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • A genuine passion for the motor trade and delivering quality workmanship
  • A full UK driving licence

You will report directly to the Service Manager and work as part of a friendly, supportive team.

Working Hours

Monday – Friday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
No weekends.
