Role Description
The Vehicle Test Engineer – ADAS Feature Degradation role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coventry. The role involves planning, preparing, and executing ADAS feature degradation tests on vehicles, under defined scenarios and environmental conditions. The engineer will develop and maintain detailed test cases, document test procedures, capture and analyze test data, and report defects and performance issues to cross-functional teams.

- Functional testing of ADAS features
- Collaborating with design and development teams to refine system performance
- Ensuring compliance with relevant standards
- Contributing to continuous improvement of test methods and tools
The role requires clear documentation of test results and effective communication of findings to stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Test Engineering, including experience with vehicle or systems testing in an automotive or related environment.
- Hands-on expertise in Test Execution, with the ability to follow and adapt test plans under varying conditions and constraints.
- Experience in designing, maintaining, and reviewing Test Cases tailored to ADAS features and vehicle-level scenarios.
- Practical knowledge of Testing methodologies, including Functional Testing of embedded systems and safety-related features.
- Understanding of ADAS technologies, vehicle sensors, ECU integration, and related automotive standards and regulations.
- Ability to analyze test data, identify root causes, and provide clear, concise reports and recommendations.
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Effective communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary teams, and a structured approach to documentation.
- Familiarity with vehicle test equipment, data logging tools, and basic diagnostic software; prior experience in ADAS validation is an advantage.
