Vehicle Test Engineer – ADAS Feature Degradation
Location: Gaydon, UK
Work Mode: Onsite
Role Overview
We are looking for a Vehicle Test Engineer with strong domain knowledge and hands-on experience in Automotive Diagnostics and ADAS Feature Degradation Testing.
Key Responsibilities
- Understand system architecture and software architecture related to ADAS degradation, fault monitoring, fault propagation, and fault reporting.
- Take ownership of vehicle-level testing for ADAS feature degradation.
- Perform System Error Handler bring-up, issue triage, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
- Execute vehicle tests and analyse system behaviour under various fault and degradation scenarios.
- Work closely with development and engineering teams to identify, reproduce, and resolve vehicle-level issues.

Required Skills
- Hands-on experience in ADAS vehicle testing / feature degradation testing.
- Strong knowledge of Automotive Diagnostics.
- Experience working with Linux and QNX environments.
- Knowledge of:
- ISO 14229 (UDS – Unified Diagnostic Services)
- ISO 26262 – Functional Safety
- SOTIF (Safety of the Intended Functionality)
- ISO 21434 – Automotive Cybersecurity
- Good understanding of automotive communication/networking protocols:
- CAN
- FlexRay
- SOME/IP
- DoIP (Diagnostics over IP)
