Role Description
The Vehicle Test Engineer – ADAS Feature Degradation role is a full-time, on-site position based in Gaydon. In this role, the engineer plans and executes vehicle-level tests focused on Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), with a particular emphasis on feature degradation scenarios and edge cases.

Day-to-Day Tasks
- Preparing test vehicles and equipment
- Defining and reviewing test cases
- Running functional tests on ADAS features
- Documenting test results clearly and accurately
The engineer collaborates with design, software, and safety teams to analyze findings, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to system performance and reliability.
Additional Responsibilities
- Creating test reports
- Contributing to test methodologies
- Supporting continuous enhancement of test processes and standards
Qualifications
- Strong skills in Test Engineering, with experience applying structured test methodologies to automotive or ADAS systems.
- Skills in Test Execution, including planning, conducting, and logging on-vehicle and bench tests in controlled and real-world conditions.
- Skills in designing and managing Test Cases, including defining degradation scenarios, maintaining traceability, and ensuring coverage of functional requirements.
- A solid foundation in Testing principles, including verification, validation, defect analysis, and reporting within safety-critical environments.
- Functional Testing skills, with the ability to evaluate ADAS behavior, performance, and safety under varied operating states and degraded conditions.

Relevant Qualifications
- Degree in automotive engineering, electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field.
Beneficial Skills
- Familiarity with ADAS sensors and architectures
- Knowledge of CAN/LIN/FlexRay or similar vehicle networks
- Experience with test automation tools and data logging/analysis software
