Aviserv is currently recruiting for an experienced Vending Services Manager / Site Manager to take overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of a major vending service across Heathrow Airport.
This is a hands-on management position requiring an organised, proactive and commercially aware individual who can lead a team, manage stock and logistics, maintain high service standards and respond quickly to operational challenges.
The successful candidate will work across Heathrow's terminals, ensuring vending machines are fully stocked, clean, operational and maintained to a consistently high standard.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day vending operation across Heathrow Airport.
- Monitor machine stock levels, sales activity and machine inactivity.
- Plan daily filling and servicing requirements.
- Allocate workloads across terminals and respond to changing operational requirements.
- Carry out regular quality checks and ensure operational standards are maintained.
- Ensure the team has the equipment and resources required to perform effectively.
Team Management
- Prepare and manage staff rotas to ensure appropriate operational coverage.
- Lead, supervise and develop the Heathrow operating team.
- Allocate daily workloads and monitor team performance.
- Maintain high standards of productivity, presentation and customer service.
- Support staff with operational issues and provide guidance where required.
Stock & Logistics
- Take ownership of stock ordering and inbound stock supply.
- Coordinate stock movements between Heathrow terminals.
- Manage stock cages and deliveries across the operation.
- Complete regular stock counts and prepare site order information.
- Ensure storerooms are organised, clean and free from unnecessary waste.
- Monitor stock availability and proactively identify potential shortages.

Machine Management
- Monitor vending machine faults through monitoring systems and team reports.
- Carry out appropriate first-line checks.
- Escalate technical faults to the engineering team.
- Coordinate engineer access and support when required.
- Manage machine cash floats and cash collection/refloating requirements.
- Oversee the operation and upkeep of coffee machines.
Customer Service & Standards
- Maintain consistently high standards of machine cleanliness and presentation.
- Ensure machines are available, correctly stocked and operating effectively.
- Build strong working relationships with Heathrow stakeholders.
- Respond quickly and professionally to operational concerns.
- Identify opportunities to improve machine availability, stock levels and overall service delivery.
About You
We are looking for an experienced and confident operational manager who enjoys taking ownership and working in a fast-paced environment.
You should have:
- Proven experience in site management, operations management, facilities, vending, logistics or a similar operational environment.
- Strong team leadership and people-management skills.
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
- A proactive approach to identifying and resolving operational issues.
- The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- A hands-on approach to operational management.
- Good understanding of stock control and logistics.
- Excellent knowledge of all four Heathrow terminals, including front and back of house.
- Strong understanding of inbound product supply from HCC.
- The flexibility to respond to operational requirements in a 24/7 airport environment.

Major technical repairs will be handled by the engineering team; however, the Site Manager must be able to identify issues quickly, undertake appropriate first-line checks and ensure faults are escalated and resolved efficiently.
