Vendor Business Development Executive

The Job Role

The main purpose for the role is to support the growth of the incremental business we onboard for the Westcoast Group. The individual will work closely with the vendor development team, assisting with onboarding & incubating new & current vendors within our Diversified Technology portfolio. This will include building relationships with vendors & all Westcoast departments, providing support from both a sales and operations perspective & creating a centre of excellence for vendor business development & incubation.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Working collaboratively with the vendor development team on new business:
  • Assisting with vendor onboarding & set up.
  • Supporting vendor sales & new opportunities.
  • Providing follow up to newly onboarded vendors whilst in their incubation phase to help ensure success.
  • Creating & maintaining strong relationships with all Westcoast departments & vendors.
  • Identifying new incremental business opportunities & present back to the team.
  • Developing market knowledge and skill set to enable identification of new growth areas for future ventures.

To be successful in this role you will have some of the following skills, experience and the desire to develop in other areas:

  • An excellent communicator and relationship builder.
  • Well organised and capable of managing time and prioritising.

  • Dynamic, methodical and applies logic to tasks and decision making.
  • Innovative and creative approach to dealing with challenges.
  • A high level of professionalism and excellent attention to detail.
  • Commercial and operational awareness.
  • Previous experience in IT/Distribution Sales – FMGC / CE Experience is highly desirable but not essential.
  • Motivated to continuously develop your industry knowledge.
  • Be confident with presenting & selling the business.
