Job Description
We are looking for a Vendor Manager to shape commercial partnerships and drive value across our global operations.
Procurement manages a vast network of global suppliers, ensuring commercial agreements deliver maximum value and operational excellence. The function navigates complex supply chains and high-value contracts.
Stepping into this role involves taking ownership of key supplier relationships and driving strategic sourcing initiatives. You will:
- Negotiate robust contracts
- Mitigate commercial risks
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across a diverse portfolio of technology and service providers
This role is being offered as a 24-month fixed term contract and will be eligible for inclusion in the company’s hybrid work from home policy.
Qualifications
- Proven background in strategic sourcing and supplier relationship management
- Strong commercial acumen with a track record of negotiating high-value contracts
- Deep understanding of procurement lifecycles and contract law principles
- Ability to analyse complex market data to inform purchasing strategies
- Assertive decision-making capabilities when resolving supplier disputes
- Proficiency in using procurement software (PROACTIS preferable)
- Experience of direct and indirect purchasing
- CIPS qualified at level 4+ or the equivalent workplace experience

- Negotiating commercial terms and service level agreements, ensuring optimal value from global suppliers
- Evaluating supplier performance against agreed metrics, driving continuous improvement
- Identifying cost-saving opportunities by conducting comprehensive market analysis and benchmarking
- Mitigating supply chain risks through thorough due diligence on new and existing vendors
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders, aligning procurement strategies with broader business requirements
- Maintaining accurate records of contracts and pricing structures, safeguarding compliance documentation
- Resolving escalated supplier issues promptly, preventing operational disruption
