Location: Field-based - High Wycombe
Salary: £24,788.68 - £26,377 per annum
Working Pattern: Monday - Friday, including both day and night work

About the Role
We are looking for a Ventilation & Hygiene Technician to join a growing commercial cleaning and compliance business, working across commercial, industrial, retail, and public-sector sites.
This is a hands-on, field-based role covering a variety of environmental hygiene and compliance services. The role would suit someone who enjoys practical work, working as part of a team, and travelling to different client sites.
The role involves both daytime and night-time work, depending on client requirements, so flexibility around working hours is essential.
You don't need previous experience in all areas of the role. Full on-the-job training will be provided, including specialist industry training.
Key Responsibilities
Your work will primarily involve:
- General ventilation cleaning and hygiene.
- Water tank cleaning, coating, and refurbishment.
- Kitchen extract and grease system cleaning.
- Kitchen extract fire safety cleaning.
- Ensuring all work is completed to the required standard and specification.
- Working safely and in accordance with company procedures and health and safety requirements.
- Using specialist equipment and PPE correctly.
- Maintaining equipment and reporting any faults or damage.
- Ensuring work areas are left clean, safe, and secure.
- Working professionally and courteously when representing the company at client sites.
- Liaising with supervisors and colleagues regarding work progress and any issues encountered on site.
- Supporting the training of new team members as your experience develops.
- Completing all work in line with relevant environmental, health and safety, and company procedures.

About You
We're looking for someone who is reliable, practical, and takes pride in doing a good job.
You will ideally have:
- A practical, hands-on approach to work.
- Good attention to detail.
- The ability to follow instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Flexibility to work both day and night shifts.
- A willingness to travel between client sites.
- Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
- The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- A strong work ethic and a willingness to learn new skills.
- A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer service.
Previous experience in ventilation cleaning, kitchen extract cleaning, water tank cleaning, facilities, industrial cleaning, or a similar environment would be beneficial but is not essential.

Training & Development
You don't need to be an expert when you start.
You'll receive full on-the-job training, alongside relevant health and safety training and specialist industry development.
Training will include BESA Grease Hygiene Technician training, giving you the opportunity to develop recognized skills within the ventilation and grease hygiene industry.
As you develop your experience, there will be opportunities to take on additional responsibility and support the training of new members of the team.
