We are seeking a Ventilation Package Manager to join a major Commercial Project in London

This is an opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile site, leading the delivery of the ventilation packages to ensure systems are installed, inspected, tested, and completed to the highest standards and ready for successful client handover.

Your Team

You'll join a hardworking, ambitious, and supportive team where your ideas matter and your development is genuinely prioritised. At Dornan, we invest in long-term career growth through structured progression pathways and continuous training support.

The Role

Reporting to the Project Director, you will take ownership of the ventilation packages, supporting two Engineers and managing multiple ductwork contractors across the project.

You will be responsible for driving progress on site, carrying out progress walkdowns, overseeing quality and compliance, managing snagging and ensuring ventilation systems are delivered in line with project specifications, programme requirements and industry standards.

You will act as an ambassador for the company and its values, driving safety, quality, and performance on site while coordinating subcontractors and project teams to deliver fully compliant and operational systems.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and take ownership of the ventilation packages across the project
  • Support and provide direction to two Engineers responsible for the day-to-day delivery of ventilation works
  • Manage and coordinate multiple ductwork contractors, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme requirements
  • Carry out regular progress walkdowns, monitoring installation progress and identifying constraints, risks, and areas requiring action
  • Drive contractor performance and ensure agreed programme milestones and installation targets are achieved
  • Oversee QA/QC activities for ventilation installations, ensuring works comply with project specifications, approved drawings, and quality requirements
  • Ensure Fire and Smoke compliance across ventilation systems, including fire-rated ductwork, fire dampers, smoke control systems, penetrations, and associated documentation
  • Coordinate ventilation works with wider Mechanical, Electrical, Fire and other building services
  • Coordinate design information between clients, designers, contractors, and project teams
  • Ensure timely approval of materials and systems through the technical submittal process
  • Carry out quality inspections, manage snag lists, and drive the close-out of outstanding works ahead of commissioning and handover
  • Maintain clear communication with subcontractors through meetings, documentation, progress reporting, and site coordination
  • Participate in project meetings, engineering reviews, coordination workshops, and progress meetings
  • Support commissioning activities and ensure systems are completed and ready for testing, witnessing, and final handover
  • Own the close-out of ventilation packages including O&M manuals, QA documentation, testing records, fire and smoke compliance documentation, safety file, and final handover

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
