SV Installations (SVI) designs, manufactures, and installs high-quality heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems across public and private sectors throughout the UK. From its manufacturing base in Hull, East Yorkshire, the company produces bespoke ductwork systems using galvanised steel, aluminium, and phenolic materials. SVI works closely with clients at every stage of a project, from design through to onsite installation, using its own experienced field engineers. The company serves a wide range of sites, including industrial units, commercial offices, large-scale distribution warehouses, schools, and hospitals. SVI is committed to delivering excellent service and reliable solutions regardless of client size or sector.
Role Description
The Ventilation Site Supervisor will oversee the installation of ventilation and ductwork systems on-site in Norwich in a contract capacity.

Responsibilities

- Supervising installation teams
- Coordinating daily site activities
- Ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and to specification
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings
- Liaising with project managers and clients
- Conducting quality checks on installed systems
- Monitoring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Managing materials and equipment on-site
- Preparing basic progress reports and site documentation
This is an on-site role requiring regular presence at the project location in Norwich and close collaboration with both SVI and client stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Experience in supervising HVAC or ventilation installation projects, including ductwork and associated mechanical components.
- Strong site management skills, including coordination of trades, scheduling tasks, and overseeing daily operations.
- Knowledge of UK building regulations and health and safety standards relevant to HVAC and construction environments.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and method statements.
- Proficient in basic reporting, documentation, and use of digital tools for site communication and record-keeping.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide teams and work collaboratively with clients and project managers.
- Previous experience in commercial or industrial HVAC installations; experience with schools, hospitals, or warehouses is an advantage.
- Relevant trade qualification or apprenticeship in HVAC, mechanical services, or a related field; SSSTS/SMSTS or equivalent site supervision certification is beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to and from the Norwich site as required.
