Known for building and scaling new ventures on behalf of some of the world's biggest enterprise clients, from corporates to universities, this is a global innovation powerhouse. The team delivers world-class product innovation, identifies and launches new business concepts by leveraging corporate assets, entrepreneurial talent, and partnerships that give businesses a distinctive edge, enabling them to think and operate more like startups from within.
Six months into a major UK bank's venture programme, the first three ventures built inside it all secured further funding. A second batch kicks off in October, centred on the bank's mortgages and consumer lending business. Three new venture teams are being spun up to build them, and each needs someone to run it: you'd be the entrepreneurial owner of one of those ventures.
The Role
You’ll lead a team of around four: a designer, an engineer, a researcher, and a business unit representative from the bank, framing the opportunity, running customer and market exploration, testing concepts with rapid prototyping and live ad experiments, and building the commercial case that earns each venture its next round of funding.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You own the client relationship directly, running daily stand-ups and managing interactions with C-suite stakeholders. The second half of the job is teaching: coaching the bank's own people - many with no innovation background - to eventually run the process without you.
Four venture leads are already in place, all reporting to the same lead. You'd run your team independently, with no hierarchy among the three new hires.
