Venue Account Manager – Event Production Services

Location: On-site at a prestigious managed venue

Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7 (primarily Monday–Friday, 09:00–18:00)

The Opportunity

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading event production and venue services provider for an experienced Venue Account Manager to join their growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially focused events professional who thrives in a client-facing environment and has a strong understanding of event production. Acting as the primary commercial contact for a managed venue, you will be responsible for securing and retaining event business through exceptional client service, accurate proposals, and close collaboration with operational delivery teams.

Working within a fast-paced venue environment, you will play a pivotal role in converting enquiries into successful events while ensuring profitability, operational excellence, and outstanding customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for venue clients, attending meetings, site visits, and venue show rounds.
  • Prepare accurate and compelling quotations for event production services.
  • Source pricing for external equipment and services, ensuring appropriate commercial mark-ups are applied.
  • Build strong relationships with venue sales teams and contribute to sales strategy and reporting.
  • Create supporting proposal documentation including 2D floor plans, event layouts, and visual presentations.
  • Maintain accurate records within CRM and hire management systems.
  • Manage venue billing processes, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.
  • Work closely with technical and operational delivery teams to ensure seamless event execution.
  • Develop commercially viable solutions that align with client budgets while protecting margins.
  • Collaborate with wider departments including Business Development and Marketing to support growth initiatives.

What Success Looks Like

  • Quotations are produced accurately, promptly, and achieve agreed margin targets.
  • Clients receive an exceptional experience from initial enquiry through to event delivery and follow-up.
  • Event information is handed over clearly and accurately to operational teams.
  • Billing and administration are completed accurately and on time.
  • Strong relationships are maintained with venue stakeholders and internal departments.
  • Sales pipeline and project information are consistently up to date and accurate.

Skills & Experience Required

Technical Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of:
    • Audio Visual (AV)
    • Lighting
    • Audio Systems
    • Staging
    • Rigging
    • Scenic Production
  • Ability to create supporting proposal documents including floor plans and presentation materials.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience using CRM, hire management, or event management software.
  • Understanding of event costing, supplier management, margin control, and pricing structures.

Professional Skills

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of event profitability.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to build relationships with senior-level clients and venue stakeholders.
  • Highly organised with excellent time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly within quotations and project documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.

Experience Required

  • Previous experience in a Venue Account Manager, Event Sales Manager, Event Producer, Technical Production, or similar client-facing role.
  • Proven experience producing quotations and proposals across a variety of event types and budgets.
  • Experience sourcing and managing third-party suppliers and contractors.
  • Experience within a managed venue environment would be advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of event production processes and the relationship between commercial and operational teams.
