Team members help bring the space to life by ensuring exhibits, installations, and visitor areas are engaging, safe, and well maintained.

Role Description

The Venue and Exhibits Technician is a full-time, on-site role based at Quirky Quarter in Liverpool. This role is responsible for the daily upkeep, inspection, and minor repair of interactive exhibits, installations, and venue facilities to ensure a safe and smooth experience for visitors. The technician supports opening and closing procedures, assists with exhibit setup and changes, and collaborates with the wider team to maintain high standards of presentation, safety, and customer experience.

Qualifications

  • Practical skills in basic maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of mechanical or technical equipment used in interactive exhibits.
  • Ability to work safely with tools and materials, following health and safety procedures and venue guidelines.
  • Strong attention to detail for inspecting exhibits, identifying issues early, and keeping accurate maintenance records.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with venue staff, contractors, and management.
  • Comfort in a visitor-facing environment, with a friendly and professional approach to answering questions and supporting guest interactions.
  • Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines in a busy venue.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and peak visitor periods as required.
  • Previous experience in attractions, museums, themed entertainment, facilities maintenance, or a related technical or hands-on role is beneficial.
