The Senedd’s Venues and Events Team
The Senedd’s Venues and Events team ensures that Senedd estate customers have the best possible experience of our venues and venue support.
Role: Venue Bookings Assistant
As the Venue Bookings Assistant, you will be responsible for corresponding with organisers during the application process for activities on the estate - which will include events and meetings.
You will work with a team to support the delivery of a high profile program of events to Senedd Members, their support staff, Commission staff, contractors, and the public.
You will also be working closely with the Events Officers, to deliver Member of the Senedd sponsored events and activities.
As well as supporting virtual, hybrid and in-person activities, you will be consulting with Members and stakeholders, whilst providing organisations and charities with a platform for their causes.
The booking team plays a vital role in advising customers on the best format for what they are looking to achieve, whilst liaising with high-profile stakeholders, providing an exemplary service to be proud of.
Job Specific Criteria
- Experience of providing well-informed advice to customers in a front-line environment;
- Ability to be concise and accurate when corresponding with stakeholders especially when resolving issues;
- Experience of using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook;
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to action multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize accordingly.

Welsh Language Criteria
The language skills for this post have been assessed as follows:
- Listening: Understand discussions and instructions even on unfamiliar topics. (Level 4)
- Speaking: Able to speak and engage in discussion at length, confidently and without prompting. (Level 4)
- Reading: Understand correspondence, newspaper articles, and reports aimed at fluent Welsh speakers. (Level 4)
- Writing: Able to write different types of texts in styles that are appropriate to the reader in mind. (Level 4)
