About The Role

We are looking for a Venue Find Consultant. This full-time role is at the forefront of client interaction, you’ll harness your expertise in both international and UK venue sourcing, contracting, and negotiating. Your responsibilities will include understanding client needs for meetings and events, identifying the ideal venue that aligns with their requirements, securing the best prices within budget, and consistently delivering solutions that surpass expectations.

As a Venue Find Consultant, You Will

  • Elevate client experiences by providing a proactive, high-quality service. This involves understanding and exceeding customer service expectations, and being proficient in all necessary systems and processes to align with client requirements.
  • Continue to develop your knowledge of venue destinations through positive engagement with key suppliers, participation in familiarisation trips, destination workshops, and webinars as needed.
  • Collaborate effectively within the team to devise and implement the best solutions for our clients, ensuring they receive comprehensive support throughout their journey with BCD Meetings and Events. This includes working closely with other departments, such as finance, to manage invoicing and financial transactions smoothly and efficiently.
  • Assist the Team Manager as required on various matters including monitoring customer service levels and quality assurance. Also, you will assist with training and development of the consultants by sharing your knowledge and experience.
  • Consistently apply and demonstrate venue and destination knowledge to all customers. Also be willing to constantly develop and expand your knowledge of the meetings & events industry, with both suppliers and destinations.

You’re Good At

  • Staying up to date with the latest meetings and events venues both within the UK and internationally.
  • Demonstrating a flexible and proactive work ethic, adept at managing multiple priorities and projects. You are resilient under pressure and excel in customer interactions, whether it be via phone, email, or in person
  • Utilising MS Office, especially Excel, and showing proficiency in managing data across various databases.
  • Being motivated to provide the best customer service for each client while developing your own knowledge, skills and experience.
  • Exemplifying our company values in every aspect of your work. You're a team player focused on collaborative problem-solving, acting with intention, and prioritising the client's needs and the company's goals.

You Might Also Have

  • Previous experience with venue booking systems.
  • Proven negotiating and contracting experience with external suppliers.

You Should Know

  • This role is hybrid based with 3 days a week spent in the London office.
  • The shift patterns for venue search are 9-5:30, 8:30-5 or 9:30-6 on a rotate basis, with an hours lunch break
  • You may be required to travel to attend company meetings / events or familiarisation trips in the UK or Overseas
