We have new openings for those with a passion for delivering great customer service and front-of-house experiences!
Come and join our Attractions and Events Venue team as one of our Venue Hosts at the UK’s most exciting Castle!
In this role, you will assist with the coordination of weddings and varied event bookings. You will be reporting to and supporting the Wedding and Events Coordinators, providing on-the-floor support and assisting with the day-to-day operations.
As the Venue Hosts, you will support our seasonal offerings and shows. This could be from formal banquets in the Great Hall, to fairy tale weddings, lively outdoor events, as well as team-building days.
Within this Venue Host role, there is heaps of variety to keep you interested. No two days will be the same. From setting up for events or wedding ceremonies, to welcoming and escorting guests into the venue, from supporting guests with the use of accessible lifts and the gold buggy, to vehicle marshalling and event covering the role of a turnstile’s attendant, this role will offer varied assignments and plenty of diversity.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
