Role Description

The Venue Lead is a full-time, hybrid role based in Surrey, with a mix of on-site venue work and some work-from-home flexibility. This role oversees the planning and delivery of weddings and events at partner venues, ensuring that all operational details, from initial client enquiries to event execution, run smoothly.

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for venue managers and clients.
  • Coordinating catering logistics.
  • Managing event timelines.
  • Aligning food and service standards with Kalm Kitchen’s brand and sustainability commitments.

The Venue Lead will work closely with culinary, operations, and sales teams to confirm event specifications, prepare documentation, and support seamless communication across stakeholders. The role also involves monitoring on-the-day performance, handling last-minute adjustments, and contributing feedback to improve processes, guest experience, and venue relationships.

Qualifications

  • Event and venue management skills, including experience coordinating weddings or similar events and overseeing on-site operations.
  • Client relationship and stakeholder management skills to maintain strong partnerships with venues, suppliers, and clients.
  • Organizational and planning skills, such as scheduling, time management, and attention to detail in documentation and logistics.
  • Communication and interpersonal skills, including clear written and verbal communication and confident, professional client-facing interaction.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle changes, resolve issues quickly, and maintain high service standards.
  • Understanding of or interest in sustainable practices within hospitality and alignment with B Corp™ values.
  • Ability to work flexibly across Surrey venues, including some evenings and weekends, with occasional remote administrative work.
  • Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or events is strongly preferred; supervisory or team-leading experience is an advantage.
  • Proficiency with basic office and event management software; a valid driving license is beneficial.
