Job Title: Venue Manager

Location: Wapping, London (In-Person)
Salary: £35,000.00 - £40,000.00 per year (Depending on experience)
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (Shift-based, including late nights & weekends)

E1 is one of London’s most renowned electronic music venues and event spaces. We host everything from world-class club nights to corporate hires, conferences, film shoots, and fashion events. We are a passionate, experienced management team committed to developing our people and offering genuine opportunities for career progression.

We are looking for an experienced Venue Manager to join our growing team and help lead one of the busiest late-night operations in the capital.

The Role

Supporting the Head of Operations and General Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations and execute flawless live events. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Event Management: Run live events in strict accordance with our premises licence, risk assessments, and venue procedures.
  • Stakeholder Relations: Maintain strong relationships with promoters, clients, licensing authorities, and local stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee operational teams and contractors (security, bars, welfare, medical, front of house, and cleaning).
  • Compliance & Standards: Maintain exceptional hospitality, guest experience, and strict business compliance.
  • People Development: Handle staff recruitment, training, and development for junior to mid-seniority roles.

About You

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Nightlife Passion: A genuine love for late-night hospitality and club culture.
  • Licensing Knowledge: Strong practical knowledge of premises licensing, compliance, health & safety, and fire safety. A valid Personal Licence is required.
  • Commercial Acumen: Proven experience increasing revenue, improving efficiency, and managing profitability.
  • Leadership Skills: A track record of leading, motivating, and recruiting large teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility: Complete comfort working evenings, late nights (overnight), weekends, and public holidays.
