💼 We're Hiring: Senior Venue Manager — Crowd Management Lead

📍 Excel London

Excel London is a world-class venue in the heart of London’s Royal Docks, hosting over 400 events and welcoming 4 million visitors annually.

We’re looking for a Senior Venue Manager — Crowd Management Lead to lead crowd management planning and delivery across the venue, ensuring safe movement, effective capacity management, and strong operational coordination.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead crowd management, including event-specific strategies, crowd-control measures, and stewarding/crowd-safety standards
  • Support operational delivery, including daily venue operations, service standards, and crowd flow monitoring
  • Contribute to planning and risk, including the crowd-risk component of the Event Risk Profiling Assessment process
  • Act as Crowd Management Lead within the Venue Operations Centre, supporting coordinated decision-making
  • Fulfil VDM/Silver responsibilities on rotation, leading tactical venue operations and incident/crisis response

What You’ll Bring:

  • Experience in crowd safety, security operations, or major events
  • Strong applied understanding of crowd science and crowd dynamics principles
  • Experience working in multi-agency environments
  • Relevant crowd-safety qualifications, such as Level 5 Crowd Safety Management, or demonstrated competence in a comparable role
  • Strong situational awareness, risk assessment, and operational decision-making under pressure
