Venue Services Manager | London
Location: London (venue based)
Salary: £35K + Bonus

Our client, an award-winning London event venue and a key player in the UK events industry, is looking for an experienced exhibition and event professional to join its close-knit, long-established Venue Services team.
You'll be the trusted partner for show organisers, guiding them through every stage of their event, from first planning conversations to the final breakdown. You'll work across a varied programme of established favourites and exciting new exhibitions, so no two weeks will look the same.

The role
As Venue Services Manager, you'll be the go-to expert for organisers, making sure they feel supported and confident throughout their tenancy while the venue's day-to-day operations run smoothly. You will:

- Advise and support show organisers on all aspects of the venue's internal services, delivering a genuinely world-class customer journey from start to finish
- Review and approve organisers' arrangements, protecting the smooth running of the venue's daily activities
- Brief and monitor all in-house services, and liaise with external contractors needed to stage each event
- Be on hand during events, supporting organisers for the duration of their tenancy (this includes some evening and weekend work)
- Champion health and safety, ensuring venue and local authority regulations are met, overseeing H&S matters and keeping accurate monitoring records
- Manage the money side, preparing final revenue accounts alongside the Venue Sales team
- Keep everything in order, maintaining records of arrangements for each event and setting up and managing shows on the venue's online system
- Support your colleagues, including the Venue Services Coordinator, overseeing exhibitors' needs and helping other team members and departments when needed
- Drive continuous improvement by producing post-show notes so every event grows stronger year on year
- Promote the venue's services, working towards annual targets and representing the business at industry events

The person…
You're an experienced exhibition or events professional who thrives on responsibility and takes pride in getting the details right. You'll bring:
- Proven experience managing exhibitions or events, ideally in a venue environment
- Self-motivation, initiative, and a proactive approach to solving problems before they arise
- Excellent verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills, with the confidence to advise and influence organisers
- Strong organisation and a real focus on deadlines
- Solid financial awareness, including reconciliations and budget understanding
- Good administrative and reporting skills
- A working knowledge of health and safety, including risk assessments and emergency procedures
- A supervisory mindset and a genuine team-player attitude
- A willingness to keep learning and growing
