About the role:

In this role, you’ll become the go-to person for our clients as you guide them through every step of their journey with us. By building trust and loyalty, you'll not only enhance their experience but also shape memorable events they won't forget. As a Sourcing Project Manager, you will:

  • Schedule brief intake calls. Listen well to understand requirements, have input to optimise the brief & exceed expectations.
  • Identify opportunities to ‘upsell’ services outside of sourcing and help the client to understand the value of doing so to gain their buy in from the outset.
  • Establish who will be required to deliver any supplementary services, ensure they understand their responsibilities and deliver within timeframes set.
  • Use all available resources to source suitable venues & locations that meet requirements and negotiate rates & terms that meet client budget and guidelines.
  • Create proposals that include all the information for clients to make decisions. Present them in a way that enables you to add value through consultancy & recommendations.
  • Be the primary point of contact for the client, manage communications with suppliers & within BCD, use all reasonable endeavors & tenacity to convert the opportunity.
  • Manage the contracting & payment process, highlight risks and negotiate effectively to minimise them.

You’re good at:

  • Gathering and acting on client feedback to continuously improve their experience.
  • Building strong relationships while attending client events and meetings.
  • Taking charge of key client relationships and ensuring top-notch service.
  • Enhancing your knowledge of venues and destinations through proactive engagement.
  • Juggling multiple priorities and adapting to changes with a positive attitude.

You might also have:

  • A knack for managing and planning various types of events.
  • Experience sourcing for different event types and locations.
  • Strong knowledge of industry venues and supplier connections.
  • Excellent communication skills with a flair for presentations.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with venue booking systems.

You should know:

  • This is a hybrid role that requires 3 days a week in either the London office
  • The shift patterns for venue search are 9-5:30, 8:30-5 or 9:30-6 on a rotate basis, with an hours lunch break
  • You must have the right to work in the UK
