Venues Support Assistant

Broadway House, London

5 days out of 7, 8 hour shifts between 7:45am and 9:00pm (generally 10 - 6 / 11 - 7) - some Saturday work required

We’re looking for a Venues Support Assistant to join the team at Make UK’s Broadway House venue in Westminster.

This is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are quite the same. You’ll be part of the Operations team, helping to make sure our meetings, events and day-to-day venue services run smoothly and that every customer receives a great experience.

From setting up meeting rooms and helping clients with AV, to supporting the catering and reception teams, there’s plenty of variety. You’ll be someone who enjoys being busy, takes pride in getting the details right and is always happy to pitch in and help.

What you'll be doing

  • Setting up meeting and conference rooms to the required specification for each event
  • Clearing and refreshing rooms ready for their next meeting
  • Vacuuming conference rooms and keeping venue areas clean and presentable
  • Meeting and greeting clients and providing AV support where needed
  • Helping customers with their requirements and making sure they have a positive experience
  • Supporting the catering and reception teams
  • Providing lounge and dining room service throughout the day
  • Supporting evening dinner and drinks service when required
  • Delivering refreshments, water and lunches to meeting rooms
  • Keeping lounge and meeting areas clean, tidy and refreshed
  • Maintaining venue storage areas and cupboards
  • Carrying out health and safety checks
  • Helping with any other duties needed by the Operations Manager or wider team

You don't need to have experience in every part of the role as training will be provided, but you'll need to bring a positive attitude and a genuine focus on customer service.
