Senior Verification & Validation Engineer
Location: South West London / Hybrid
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + extensive benefits
Security Clearance: Must be eligible for SC clearance and a British passport holder.
Relocation: Assistance may be available
Copello is working with a leading engineering and technology organisation to recruit a Senior Verification & Validation Engineer to support the delivery of complex, high-integrity systems within defence.
This is an opportunity to work across the engineering lifecycle, supporting the integration, verification, validation, and acceptance of complex hardware and software-based solutions.
The Role
You will be involved in a range of activities including:
- Verification, validation, and integration activities across the systems engineering lifecycle
- Planning and supporting system and hardware testing activities
- Producing test procedures, verification documentation, and test reports
- Supporting integration and acceptance activities against system and customer requirements
- Participating in technical and design reviews, test readiness reviews, and risk assessments
- Working closely with systems, software, and hardware engineers to resolve technical issues
- Supporting the continuous improvement of V&V and test processes

What We're Looking For
We're looking for an engineer with experience in Verification & Validation, Integration, Test, or Systems Engineering within a complex engineering environment.
Key skills and experience include:
- Experience delivering V&V activities across the engineering or systems lifecycle
- Experience of integration, testing, and acceptance of complex systems
- Ability to develop and execute test procedures and produce technical documentation
- Understanding of requirements management and traceability, ideally using tools such as DOORS
- Knowledge of systems engineering principles and structured V&V methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis
- Experience working with complex hardware, electrical, and/or software systems

Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be UK citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain SC security clearance.
