Role: Verification & Validation Engineer
Location: New Malden – 2-3 days per week on-site
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 + benefits
Verification & Validation Engineer needed to join our client, an established defence engineering firm based in New Malden.
Role Overview
As a Verification & Validation Engineer, you will play a critical role in assuring the delivery of complex defence systems that support sovereign UK capabilities. Working as part of the Engineering team, you will contribute to the verification, validation, integration and acceptance of advanced hardware and software solutions.
Please note: we can only consider UK nationals for this position based on UK Security Clearance requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply Verification & Validation (V&V), Integration, Verification, Validation, Test, Quality and Acceptance (IVVTQA) principles throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Plan, coordinate and support hardware testing activities, including testing at specialist external test facilities.
- Produce and maintain key technical documentation, including test procedures, verification compliance records and test reports.
- Support the integration, verification and acceptance of electrical subsystems, ensuring compliance against customer and system requirements.
- Participate in technical reviews, test readiness reviews (TRRs), risk assessments, change impact assessments and design reviews.
- Drive continuous improvement of verification, validation and testing processes using recognised industry best practices.

Required Experience
- Degree, HND, HNC or equivalent experience in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering verification and validation activities across the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Understanding of systems engineering methodologies and standards, including ISO 15288, ISO 29119 and/or INCOSE frameworks.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering principles to support test assurance and requirement compliance activities.
- Experience using requirements management tools such as DOORS.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and regression test management.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders and produce clear technical documentation.
