Vertical Market Strategy Leader
At Dematic, we help some of the world's best-known brands solve complex supply chain challenges through industry-leading automation, software and services.
We're looking for a commercially minded Vertical Market Strategy Leader to join our growing Global Market team. This is a unique opportunity to combine your understanding of customer needs, market trends and commercial strategy to help shape how Dematic grows across key industry sectors.
Whether your experience comes from logistics, retail, warehousing, manufacturing, supply chain operations, project delivery, sales, marketing or warehouse automation, you'll play a key role in connecting customer challenges with the solutions that create value.
Working closely with our Market Development Directors, Sales Leaders and Business Development teams, you'll help identify market opportunities, uncover customer insights and transform those insights into compelling stories, strategies and actions that drive growth.

What You'll Be Doing:
- Develop a deep understanding of customer challenges, operational priorities and market trends across key vertical markets.
- Translate customer requirements and industry insights into compelling narratives, growth opportunities and actionable recommendations.
- Partner closely with Sales, Business Development and Market Development leaders to support strategic growth initiatives.
- Create presentations, reports, dashboards and market intelligence that support decision-making and customer engagement.
- Present confidently to internal stakeholders, senior leaders and customers.
- Support the development and execution of go-to-market strategies across priority industries.
- Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
- Act as a key link between Sales, Marketing, Strategy, Solution Development and Commercial teams to ensure alignment across the business.
- Support industry events, customer engagements and trade exhibitions across EMEA.

Knowledge & Qualifications
We're looking for a commercially minded professional with a strong understanding of supply chain, logistics, warehousing or automation environments and a passion for turning market insights into business opportunities.
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Marketing, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience within the material handling, warehouse automation, logistics, supply chain or a closely related industry.
- Experience working in strategy, market development, sales, business development, project management, marketing or operational roles.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse and distribution operations, including the commercial and operational challenges faced by customers.
- Experience selling, project managing or running operations in either the General Merchandise, Food & Beverage, Grocery or Durables industries.
- An understanding of warehouse automation technologies such as AutoStore, AS/RS, shuttle systems, AMRs, pallet shuttle solutions, automated palletising and related material handling technologies.
- Exceptional presentation and storytelling skills, with the confidence to present to senior leaders, sales teams and customers.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn data, insights and market intelligence into clear recommendations and actionable business plans.
- An understanding of logistics operations, operational metrics and commercial performance drivers.
- A proactive, innovative and naturally curious approach, with the confidence to challenge thinking and influence stakeholders.
- Ability to travel up to 35% of the year to internal stakeholder meetings and trade events in EMEA, and occasionally to team events in the US.

This role would suit someone who understands customer challenges and can translate them into compelling business stories and growth opportunities. You might currently work for an automation provider, or you may work for a retailer, manufacturer or logistics business operating complex warehouse environments. What matters most is your ability to understand customer needs, identify opportunities and communicate them in a way that drives action.
