Job Details
Good Housing impacts on so many aspects of our daily lives. As well as being a basic human right, it also encourages a sense of community, helps economies to thrive and creates an environment which people want to protect.
We need you to help us meet our aim to provide everyone with access to good quality, affordable decent housing that meets their needs and aspirations. We want to improve the quality of life for people across Fife, and we work with many different organisations, including tenants’ groups, to try to make that happen.
The role of the Very Sheltered Housing Officer is to deliver a Housing Support service to tenants within our 12 complexes across Fife. Our tenants live in our Very Sheltered Housing complexes as part of our Older Persons Housing Service. We provide daily welfare checks to our tenants, and we also provide onsite Housing Support which is delivered through a Housing Support Plan.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
