Veterinary Surgeon

12-month fixed term contract

Up to £80,000 DOE plus benefits

Vets Now Hemel Hempstead provides out-of-hours veterinary care for dogs, cats and small animals. Our team, work nights, weekends and bank holidays to provide emergency and critical care for sick and injured small animals when they need it most. We’re looking for a Vet Surgeon to join our experienced and supportive team, on a full-time fixed term basis.

Now for work-life balance

We appreciate that one size doesn’t fit all and with this role we can offer two rota patterns:

  • 1:2 weekends (mix of days and nights) plus a fair share of weeknights on a four-week basis.
  • Every Sunday 0830-1930 and two weeknights per week on a four-week basis.

The exact nights of the week are flexible, and both patterns will include a share of bank holidays. Shift timings are as follows: nights 1900-0900, Saturday days 1200-1930, Sunday days and bank holidays 0830-1930 and Sunday backs 1000-2000.
