An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Veterinary Surgeon to join our close-knit, friendly team at Preston Vets for Pets, paying up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE)

  • You will be joining a really close-knit team who are really well established with minimal staff turnover
  • This role is ideally for 40 hours per week, but we can look at rotas as we know everyone’s lives and commitments are different
  • This role could involve sole charge so would be ideal for someone who is confident in both surgery and consults
  • We support all our colleague’s development so would be happy to support yours!
  • We would be particularly interested to talk to someone who enjoys dentistry, dermatology or ultrasonography
  • This will include 1 in 3 Saturdays
  • Enhanced holidays after 2 years with us
  • Fantastic salary up to £65,000 (FTE, DOE)

As a training practice, you will work alongside a Practice Owner/Head Nurse, Practice Manager, 2 Vets, 2 RVN’s, 1 SVN’s, 1 VCA and our reception team.

About you

We are looking for a professional, enthusiastic experienced veterinary surgeon and ideally someone that can mentor more junior members of the team. You will be confident working sole charge and have surgical experience too. Dentistry, Dermatology or Ultrasonography experience would be desirable but not essential for this role.

We are hoping to find somebody that can work part time (40 hours over 4 days per week), with 1 in 3 Saturdays but no OOH, allowing you to achieve a great work/life balance to enjoy everything on offer in the local area and beyond.
