The Opportunity
We're seeking a dedicated Veterinarian to join our compassionate team at our Ipswich Community Vet Clinic on a part-time basis (2 or 3 shifts per week). This role offers a diverse and rewarding caseload with genuine work-life balance, Monday to Friday shifts only, with no weekend work and no on-call duties.
At AWLQ's Community Vet Clinics, we believe no sick or suffering animal should be turned away. Our clinics are more than medical facilities; they're a community devoted to saving lives and keeping pets and people together, helping to prevent unnecessary shelter admissions.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality veterinary care and ensure the well-being of all patients.
- Diagnose and treat a wide range of medical and surgical cases.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide education, advice, and support.
- Work collaboratively with veterinary nurses and support staff to achieve the best outcomes.
- Uphold AWLQ's commitment to keeping pets and people together, ensuring that animals receive the care they need regardless of their owner's financial situation.

Essential Skills And Attributes
- Tertiary qualification in Veterinary Science and current registration with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland.
- Strong clinical and surgical skills with a compassionate approach to animal care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to manage diverse cases and maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and reliability to work on a casual basis, Monday to Friday.
- A commitment to AWLQ's mission of providing accessible and affordable veterinary care.
