About Celtic SMR
Celtic SMR is a 40+ year established and growing business supplying and supporting diagnostic imaging and therapeutic equipment to veterinary and healthcare clinics across the UK.
We take an honest, consultative approach to sales and account management with a focus on building long-term relationships with our customers, while still pushing for monthly targets. We are a close-knit team that values teamwork, but with a lot of autonomy to do your job in your way, without a culture of micro-management.
The Role
We are looking for a Veterinary Account Manager to join our established team of three Veterinary Account Managers. This is a newly created position to support our ambitious growth plans and increase our capacity to develop new and existing customer accounts.
The role combines new business development, consultative sales and account management. You will identify and develop new opportunities, build strong relationships with veterinary practices, and manage opportunities from initial contact through to completion.
You will work closely with our technical team to ensure customers receive the right advice, product support and demonstrations throughout the sales process.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
