Veterinary Associate – Small Animal

Vets 1 Group is looking for a Vets 1 Vet.

What is a Vets 1 Vet? Put simply, someone who wants to give their patients and clients the best care possible.

We currently have 15 Vets, all with different interests at work and hobbies at home. Individuality is embraced here and we encourage growth within the whole team. We work together, using each other’s strengths, to bring the best outcomes for our patients.

As an independent practice we are hugely proud of what we achieve each day and of the team that do it. We opened 13 years ago when the main hospital was an abandoned barn surrounded by beautiful fields. Today it is an RCVS Level 3, and ISFM ‘Gold Standard’ Hospital, full of fun exciting toys (DR X-Ray, CT, Cardiology level ultrasound, Dental suite with dental X-Ray, and an array of scopes) that is open 24/7, with a Nurse and Vet on site at all times.

Since 2020 we have a second practice in neighbouring King’s Lynn, situated in what was an old bank. All team members spend time at both practices to ensure good team morale and a sense of cohesion. We are a single team working over two locations. No separation, no competition.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
