Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Veterinary Care Assistant looking for an exciting opportunity in a modern, purpose-built practice? Having opened our doors in Whetstone in Summer 2025, we're continuing to grow our team and are looking for a dedicated Veterinary Care Assistant to join us on a full-time basis.

About the Practice
Our Practice Owner, Shweta Nakrani, graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2011 and is currently working towards a Certificate in Veterinary Consulting (CertNCS VetCons). Shweta has particular interests in cat-friendly practice, soft tissue surgery, and brachycephalic airway syndrome.
Our purpose-built practice has been designed to provide outstanding clinical care while creating an enjoyable working environment for the whole team. Facilities include:
- Digital radiography
- Dedicated operating theatre
- Separate dog, cat, and isolation wards
- Spacious colleague break room
You'll be joining a friendly and supportive team where your contribution is valued, and you'll have opportunities to develop your skills while helping to deliver exceptional standards of patient and client care.
About the Role
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Our opening hours are:

- Monday to Friday: 9:00am – 7:00pm
- Saturday: 9:00am – 1:00pm (1 in 2 rota)
There are no out-of-hours requirements, helping you maintain an excellent work-life balance.
As a Veterinary Care Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting our clinical team by:
- Assisting with patient care
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the practice
- Preparing equipment and consulting rooms
- Supporting with inpatient care
- Ensuring clients and their pets receive a warm and professional experience from the moment they arrive
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a veterinary practice, ideally as a Veterinary Care Assistant
- Is passionate about animal welfare and delivering outstanding patient care
- Enjoys working in a busy first-opinion practice
- Has excellent communication and client care skills
- Works well as part of a team while also being able to use their own initiative
- Is organized, proactive, and keen to learn
- Takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming practice environment
