Client Care Advisor / Veterinary Care Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Client Care Advisor / Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Wallasey Vets for Pets practice.

Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned and purpose built to industry leading standards and has state of the art equipment including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

Client Care Advisor duties will include assisting all colleagues with non-clinical duties to support smooth running of the practice and provide the best standard of patient care.

Veterinary Care Assistant responsibilities will involve supporting with clinical care of animals, so a high standard of animal care skills and experience are required.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to progress into a student nurse role in the future.

This is a 12-month maternity cover role, working 17.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a salary in line with National Minimum Wage. Weekend opening may be introduced in the future.

The attributes required:

Our new colleague will be empathetic, passionate about the industry and will be compassionate about animal care; someone who strives to deliver the very best service for our animals and clients, every single time.

The role involves animal handling and predominantly supporting the veterinary team in all aspects of clinical practice, therefore we are ideally looking for candidates with previous experience.

There will be significant reception and front of house responsibility with the role therefore you will also need to have strong communication and customer service skills.
