🐾 Veterinary Care Assistant – Walton on Thames

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and passionate Veterinary Care Assistant to join our Walton on Thames Vets for Pets practice.

Our practice is bright, spacious, air-conditioned, and purpose-built to industry-leading standards. It features state-of-the-art equipment, including digital X-ray and in-house laboratory facilities.

In this Full-Time role (40 hours per week, including one Saturday in four on reception with a day off in lieu), you will:

  • Assist all colleagues with both clinical and non-clinical duties to ensure smooth running of the practice.
  • Deliver best-standard patient care.
  • Have the opportunity to progress into student vet nursing.

This is a role for someone who loves pets, enjoys helping people, and wants to make a difference.

About the Role

You will be the friendly and welcoming face for clients and their pets when they visit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance by keeping up-to-date with all practice services and available offerings.
  • Remain calm, attentive, and focused on clients’ needs.
  • Bring enthusiasm and drive, with passion for service and love for pets.
  • Handle challenges with professionalism—whether comforting a client with bad pet news or celebrating joyful moments like first vet visits.
  • Develop a fellowship with colleagues to create a welcoming and warm atmosphere in the practice.
